Business End of 2006/2007 Season
27 April 2007Chelsea FC beat Liverpool FC at home in the Champions League after drawing with Newcastle FC away when the win would have taken us to within one point of the leaders Man Utd who managed an injury time winner from Rooney after going 2-1 down to AC Milan earlier in the match.
After all said and done, we would all agree that the Season had been long and Teams are being stretched. Some Teams have played fewer matches than others, I do not necessarily see it as an advantage because the more Competitions and matches you are involved in gives an indication of success and revenue for the Club but also confidence in the Players about their abilities and belief that they can go on and win whatever competition that they are involved in.
One big down side to this is that you stand the chance of being burned out and going out of the competitions very quickly. That was the case with Arsenal, it could have been the case with Chelsea FC but we weathered it pretty smooth, the question now is, will Man UTD escape the implications of not playing with key men?
We all just have to wait and see.
Something I do know anyway, if there is a scrap to be had, a match to be dug in there is no team I would rather have other than Chelsea FC fighting my corner. The Premiership is drawing to a close very quickly but Man Utd may just about cross the line but they should beware WE ARE WATCHING AND WAITING!

I relly hope you give Utd a good run for their money this coming season. I myself dont support Chelsea but as a fellow premiership fan an dnot not supporting Utd you have my respect (I follow Reading) p.s. I hope Sidwell does better for you than He did for us
