Rooney! Rooneeey!! Rooooneeey!!!
8 August 2006He is a masterpiece in the mould the works of the old Masters.
Appealing to some. Disgusting to others! God sent to yet others and maybe definitely inspired at his best.

I believe this young man has the ability to become a great player able to rival even the greatest but first there is work to be done both at club and international level!
I think now with Ruud gone, he needs to perform and not sit needlessly on the stands, if Man U have any prayer not of rivaling Chelsea but plain doing well in the league.
We at CFC Blues wish him well in his quest for glory both at Club and International level.
Ashley Cole Saga
7 August 2006A move to Stamford Bridge seems more imminent by the minute for gunners left wing back Ashley Cole. He has been left out of the Arsenal squad which jetted out to Croatia for a UEFA Champions League third round qualifying first leg match with Dynamo Zagreb.
Arsenal’s coach, Arsene Wenger claims that he has been left behind due to not being match fit but I think I can safely say he should go tell that to the marines.
Ashley has had his eyes firmly set on moving following his falling out with the team the tapping up drama involving Jose who many say have a very wierd way of getting his way in the long run. An example to this fact is how he muscled out Manchester United in signing up youth Nigerian prodigy Mikel Obi.
If Jose wants you badly in his team and comes calling dangling the Chelsea carrot, few are sane enough to refuse.
Chelsea hunting for Striker
7 August 2006Chelsea are looking for another striker to embrace in their fold since the departure of Hernan Crespo. The Italian has always wanted to go back to italy and even the offer of a fresh deal by Chelsea could not keep him at ‘The Bridge’.
He has now joined Inter Milan the newly crowned Scudeto champions on a free transfer but Chelsea have the option to buy him back after one season.
Well thats loyalty for you, Hernan Crespo despite all his years as a footballer won the first League medal of his illustrious career with Chelsea.
Here is hoping that Jose will see this as an opportunity to buy a younger player to partner either Drogba or Shevchenko.
PRE SEASON FRIENDLIES
7 August 2006Friendlies as far as I am concerned are not the true test of strength and character. They are just a platform for managers and players to try out new ideas and blend on the playing field. They also give fringe players a great chance to showcase their talents and fight for a place in the main team.
Of that I am sure you are all aware, so whatever you do, erase any hopes that Chelsea’s loss in the US is a light at the end of the tunnel for any other will be aspirants to the title this season.
The Sun newspaper reported that Chelsea Star would also be ruled out until Christmas at the very least, so while we all hope for this report to be false, we do wish Joe Cole all the best as he fights to regain full fitness.
‘The Bridge’ remains the home of the premiership trophy and you can bank on that
Drogba “The Savage”
7 August 2006Didier Drogba, the Ivorien International has as many friends as critics.
His critics choose to see his misses on goal or go as far as claiming that he has no finesse on juggling the ball! Some go outright and call him a cheat but then b-llocks to them all.
What they fail to see is what an important player he is for Chelsea!
He is as strong as a rampaging savage bull, with timely runs and control that can split any defence. He holds the ball up for his team mates to also make their own runs. He scores very important and spectacular goals for the team and above all he is loyal to the Chelsea family!
What else can you ask from a player? Go on Drogs, we, that matter love you to bits, so does the the entire Chelsea squad!
Joe Cole’s injury
6 August 2006Joe Cole’s injury scare suffered in the first five minutes of his coming into the friendly game in the United States against MLS All-Stars should strenghten the team and bring out Mourinho’s technical and tactical skills.
This should not deter him from the task in hand of bringing a 4th premiership title to ‘The Bridge’. Chelsea’s successes so far has been criticised as being a fluke as they have supposedly been taking advantage of its weakened premiership rivals. Agreed the injury scare could not have come at a worst possible time; just at the countdown to a new premiership season. Chelsea however have enough quality within it to fill the void that is if the injury is more serious.
MLS All Stars 1 Chelsea 0
6 August 2006Lacking sharpness following the heavy schedule of two-sessions-a-day training, Chelsea went down to a second-half goal to the MLS All Stars before a capacity 21,210 crowd in the new Toyota Park Stadium on Saturday.
Chelsea new boys Ballack and Shevchenko, followed by Mikel and Kalou, and finally by Hilario, all got their first football in Chelsea colours in Chicago.
This goes to show that at the end of the day, it is 11 vs 11 and that football is definitely not Mathematics. So all the whining Premiership Clubs should shut it and concentrate on sharpening their strategies on trying to upstage Chelsea.
Only I’m afraid that they would be fighting a lost cause and they probably know it!
The Press & I: Who is the liar?
6 August 2006Everyone knows the reason “Big Phil” gave for turning down the England job, “The Press”! Reyes again denied seeking a move to Real Madrid on arsenal.com. It is widely reported in Spain and the UK that the Player and Real are keen on the move with Arsenal the stumbling block.
So, someone is lying through their teeth. It is either:
- Jose Antonio Reyes
- Arsenal Football Club, for backing his lies
- The generality of the Press for reporting lies and yet others for circulating it
Someone definitely is lying and it is important for us the fans to know who!
I like People that even though I might not approve of their actions, own up to whatever it is they have said or done. Didier Drogba is a vivid example, scored wrongfully owned up to the fact. Why lie when it is obvious what the truth is.
Chelsea gunning for Gunner
5 August 2006Chelsea definitely still have Arsenal star Ashley Cole firmly in their sights.
They hope to bring him over to the Bridge but this time there is no hanky panky involved in the way he is being wooed. An offer has been made above board for him to Arsenal and Mourinho promises not to contact the player to negotiate any deal until he accepts the offer. Watch this space.
Door Still Open For Crespo and Gallas
5 August 2006Chelsea FC boss Jose Mourinho has not shut the door on his troubled stars Hernan Crespo and William Gallas.
Jose being a realist understands that it is highly likely they will remain Chelsea players come the Premiership kickoff. They have been good servants and will likely continue doing so when everything is sorted out. We are all humans and do make mistakes and it is very important to forgive and forget all greviances, perceived or real from all the parties involved!
